KEEP 'EM FLYING (1941) *1/2 I'm not saying that I got really bored, but I do admit to holding a plastic alligator in front of the screen, and pretending that it was eating the participants. Abbott & Costello join the U.S. Army and attend the circus, when the two were distinct entities offering divergent career courses. Their appeal here is almost exclusively to those who find the exasperation of others entertaining. To make matters worse dubious musical talents the likes of Martha Raye, Carol Bruce, and William Gargan regularly burst into song the sort of which wouldn't win a bit of interest or second hearing on the playground. There are several slightly funny bits: Costello's entrance, the magical ride of Mr. Torpedo, and the spookhouse, but overall it's an argument against making four movies of the same genre in a single calendar year.
