JURASSIC PARK III (2001) *1/2 More exciting action for the dinosaurs jumping out of nowhere so constantly that it surprises when none do, then usually chasing humans around set. To say that there's nothing new here is something of an understatment, to say that it's all been done before is even duller than the film itself. The dinosaurs are still cool, and this time they talk to each other a bit more, and there's a boy kid, and an appliances guy from Oklahoma. The best scene is where they're battling the dinosaurs in the middle of the night, and when they go underwater things are inexplicably illuminated so brightly that they can select from an assortment of weapons on the river bottom. Must have been a bathospheric full moon, or something. Téa Leoni can't get anything going with this script any more than anyone else and Sam Neill mainly looks concerned that someone might want a fourth installment. The inevitable happy ending is even happier (and earlier) than you'd expect. Yea.
