TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE (1959) **1/2 "I will make earth my home…" If you like movies named stuff like this, this is a really good one. The acting is abhorrent, the dialogue bombastic to the point of splitting its pants, the special affects are arguably the worst ever put to celluloid…I really enjoyed it a lot. It can't be easy putting together a cast like this: every single one of them butchers every single line that they have, but all in different ways. One too slow, one too fast, one absurdly focused on the line, one looking forward to lunch…King Moody (who would go on to even greater fame as Ronald McDonald) is the greatest of them all, delivering his like giant hunks of cheap pork. Incredible. The dialogues between the spacemen that bookend the film are brilliant, but it is the showdown with the giant lobster that has even greater historical value. Tom Graeff is to be commended for…not so much for putting this together, I think, as ever knowing when it was complete!
