JUNGLE 2 JUNGLE (1997) *1/2 I'd be really surprised if this is anyone's favorite movie, but I can't imagine anyone going so far as to hate it either. Tim Allen flick about his long lost/unknown teenage jungle son coming to visit the Big Apple. Wow, ok, that's original, huh? With such a brilliant premise they need not even worry much about plot, so they just kind of go forward mixing in the stock market, the fashion world, the Russian mafia, the Statue of Liberty, a tarantula, all that New York stuff.except for the cooler stuff, no CBGBs, no Mets. David Ogden Stiers' turn as the head mafian isn't entirely without humor, and fortunately Sam Huntington is likeable as the kid. Neither of these jungles, incidentally, is what the Guns N' Roses song is about.
