ARABIAN ADVENTURE (1979) *1/2 There's this guy who looks like Pete Maravich during the fu manchu period, but not as tall or handsome, and he rides around on a flying carpet with this other guy and a kid with a monkey. They're trying to get a magical rose for this guy that sold his soul for a mirror that's more like a tv in a cave. Also the Maravich guy wants to marry the princess. The bad guy is Peter Cushing, and there's this other guy who gets hit with all kinds of mechanical stuff while working this desert Oz scam from the bowels of a giant ant hill. That guy would have been really funny, but he's Mickey Rooney and you might hope there'd have been a better role for him. Passable Saturday matinee stuff.
